Quiet week for frac sand news, which is surprising because most of the news to be had is pretty good news! Maybe everyone is too busy working to do any writing. Please do note that the Permian Road Safety Coalition is holding a Sand Task Force Meeting on May 15 in Monahans, Texas. We’ll include more information in next week’s newsletter, but for now, mark your calendars!

Permian new well drilling permit demand is surging to new cyclical heights. After a very strong January, February was a little slower (short month plus the freeze). But March roared back with the highest permit count in more than a year.
