This is the quietest week for frac sand news that we have seen in years! The 4th of July holiday, combined with Infill Thinking taking a few days off, is the reason why. No problem. I am sure we’ll have a flood of interesting frac sand news next week. We’ll talk to you then!
And now, the news…
Global natural gas demand is poised to surge over the next four years, as economies worldwide recover from the coronavirus pandemic, the International Energy Agency forecast Tuesday.
Ashley Watt is nothing if not a friend of fracking. She’s invested in mines that supply the sand frackers blast into the ground. Her family owns a ranch larger than Manhattan that’s home to hundreds of oil and natural gas wells. Her Twitter handle is “Frac Sand Baroness.” That’s what made it all the more jarring almost three weeks ago when Watt began publicly railing against one particular oil driller for leaks on her land.
The Petroleum Connection is pleased to announce that PropX has signed on as a Golf Sponsor for the 10th Annual Frac Sand Supply & Logistics Conference.
OPEC+ infighting has deprived the oil market of extra supply and sent crude surging to a six-year high in New York.
BRT is currently transporting 2,100 tons of sand made of silicon dioxide to Long Island every month. The material, very much in demand on Long Island’s more-than 140 golf courses, is transported in 100-ton covered hoppers.
The company now plans to rapidly assess the land package to determine its geological and economic potential.
