The proppant world has been raising eyebrows over the past week as Exxon unveiled their use of petroleum coke in some of their Permian wells. This planned expansion is going to affect both the demand for sand as well as the need to add additional infrastructure to handle this lightweight proppant (we’ve received multiple inquiries already looking for equipment).
