Just when it seemed like the entire industry made the switch to regional sand, the discussion around the differences between in-basin sand and Northern White Sand have re-emerged. On LinkedIn alone we have seen recent postings here, here, here, and here about the issue (some referencing this Covia presentation). So we decided to ask those posting if they would be a part of a deep-dive into the topic at the 4th Annual Frac Sand Industry Update on February 6 in Houston. And they accepted!
Join us at The Petroleum Club to hear industry experts, including two presentations and analysis on the differences between Northern White Sand and In-Basin Sand. Joel Schneyer from Capstone Headwaters will provide an introduction, followed by a presentation by Hunter Wallace of Atlas Sand on the benefits of regional sand. Following Hunter, we will hear from Covia’s Erik Nystrom regarding the benefits of Northern White Sand. Joel will then provide some additional context and analysis, before we wrap up that part of the day with a Q&A session including all three presenters. It should make for a very interesting addition to the agenda, and should be of great interest to everyone involved in the frac sand supply chain from the mine to the wellsite!
