Our very own Pete Cook made a trip to David City, NE last week and received a wonderful tour of Timpte’s headquarters and their primary manufacturing facility. He was able to see both agricultural trailers and the frac sand focused “Roughneck” hoppers in every stage of manufacturing.

It was great to see the efficiency, the innovation, and the commitment to safety from start to finish. Best of all were the employees. Everyone with whom I interacted in the office and on the manufacturing line seemed genuinely happy to be there.
Particular thanks to Allen Meyer for coordinating this and providing the HQ tour, and to their fantastic safety manager Bill (I blanked on his last name) for his tour of the manufacturing facility. And to CEO Tim Carpenter for taking the time out of his busy day to chat.
I apologize for not taking pictures of the manufacturing process, but I forgot to ask permission ahead of time and did not want to put my tour guide on the spot by asking for permission during the tour itself! There may be innovations or practices that they would rather not share with competitors. I have no idea.
Finally, it was also really cool to see how Timpte is such a big part of David City, a quintessential Midwest town of 2700 residents.
