Mr. Ryan Carbrey leads the onshore cost and technology research and consulting practice at IHS Markit focused on drilling and completions. Mr. Carbrey provides consulting expertise in chemicals, proppants and oil field services, and he plays a leading role in M&A target identification, private equity due diligence and strategy. He joined IHS, now IHS Markit, through the acquisition of PacWest in 2014. He continues to oversee the legacy PacWest market intelligence practice focusing on hydraulic fracturing, chemical and proppant markets, which includes publication of Pumping IQ, FracDB, WellIQ and ChemIQ products. With more than 10 years of data analysis and strategic consulting experience, he has worked primarily with upstream oil and gas clients, oil field services companies, equipment manufacturers and financial institutions. Previously he held consulting roles with several energy companies where he developed innovative strategies and led business transformation initiatives. He supported strategic growth while employed by Cheniere Energy and LeTourneau (now part of Cameron International). As an entrepreneur, he also built and sold his own data analytics firm that he started as his undergraduate career. He completed a Bachelor of Science, Economics at Texas A&M University, US, and earned his MBA at Rice University, Jones Graduate School of Business, US.
