Joel joins us from Capstone Headwaters, one of the largest independent investment banking firms in the US, dedicated entirely to serving the middle market; with 18 offices in the US and over 150 professionals covering 16 industry verticals. Prior to his career in investment banking, he was Manager of Derivative Finance in the metals group of Barclays Bank, a Senior Analyst in the New Business and Strategic Planning Group at Billiton Royal Dutch Shell, and a petroleum geologist at Celeron Oil & Gas. He has Masters in both structural geology from University of Texas at Austin and Mineral Economics from the Colorado School of Mines. He is a noted speaker on sand proppant supply & demand and more recently, saltwater disposal related to oil and gas activity.
