Kristin Whitley-Smith has served as Chief Financial Officer of Vista Proppants and Logistics, LLC (“Vista”) since May 2017 after joining the Company in August 2016 as Chief Accounting Officer. Kristin has played an integral role in Vista’s substantial growth by providing financial oversight and leadership over more than $375 million of capital raises and $320 million of capital expansion projects, including two greenfield sand mines and multiple transload facilities. Concurrent with those efforts, she led the significant enhancement of Vista’s internal operations reporting and accountability while also preparing the Company to become publicly-traded, including filing Vista’s Form S-1 and related subsequent reports with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Prior to her tenure at Vista, Kristin spent over 10 years in public accounting at Whitley Penn LLP where, as Audit Senior Manager, she served a variety of clients within the energy and mining industries and was a mentor and supervisor of audit seniors and staff in their professional development. She is a Certified Public Account who earned her BBA in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business. Kristin is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Ft. Worth Chapter of the Texas Society of CPAs. In addition, she serves as the Executive Chair of the Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth’s Red Shoe Society.
