David DeLaO is VP of Drilling & Completions for HighPeak Energy. David started his career with Mobil Oil in 1985 where he held various engineering positions in drilling, completions, and production until 2001. He continued his career with Pure Resources in Midland with similar positions before moving to Oklahoma City in 2004 where he worked 12 years with Chesapeake Energy in various management roles. He joined HighPeak Energy in 2017 when the company was formed. David is a graduate of Texas Tech University.
