Eddie has spent his entire adult life in mining, with more than 28 years of experience across surface mining and road construction. Both a safety expert and mentor, Eddie is deeply passionate about protecting miners and building safer workplaces. He spent the majority of his career in senior safety leadership at Martin Marietta, where he developed training content and helped implement safety programs across the company. Eddie also holds formal training in Occupational Safety and Health Technology from San Antonio College, bringing strong technical knowledge alongside real-world experience. Throughout his career, Eddie has focused on culture change and mental awareness. Known for his heart and the way he connects with people, Eddie is helping drive meaningful change in mining safety across the industry.
